Frequently Asked Questions
ABA therapy promotes development while focusing on the principles that describe how learning takes place. Positive Reinforcement plays an integral part in the treatment process. When a desired behavior is followed by a reinforcer (i.e. reward), the learner is more likely to repeat the behavior in the future. Reinforcement supports the positive behaviors and aims to eliminate the negative behaviors through protocol specific to the learner.
The clear measurement of outcomes is a fundamental feature of our comprehensive ABA therapy. ABA therapy program is built to produce desired outcomes, and goals are set based on the needs of each individual learner. At HIA we assess each child to identify the specific mechanism that changes behavior and employ it to encourage wider growth.
